Midian began in the wilderness.
After fleeing Egypt, Moses arrived in the land of Midian and sat beside a well. In that quiet place of exile, God began shaping the man who would one day lead His people.
Throughout Scripture, the wilderness is where God forms His servants.
Centuries later, in the deserts of Egypt, men withdrew from the noise of the world to seek that same encounter with God. Among them was Anthony the Great, whose life of prayer gave rise to Christian monasticism and transformed the spiritual life of the Church.
The Monastery of Saint Anthony, founded in the 4th century, still stands in that same desert today. It remains one of the oldest continuously inhabited monasteries in the world, where monks dedicate their lives to prayer, worship, and the preservation of the ancient faith.
Because Midian was born from the story of the wilderness, 10% of all Midian revenue is given as an offering to Saint Anthony’s Monastery, supporting the continuation of this sacred tradition.
